1837 - 1851

The Free Presbyterian church was organized in prior to 1837. The unique quality about this church was their free religious services. They did not rent the pews, which was the common money raising practice of most churches. In 1852 the Free Presbyterian Church was reorganized into the
First Congregational Church.
