2.    C-ration was the name given to "individual combat meals" during World War II.  Each ration consisted of a canned entry, a "B2 Unit" containing cheese, crackers and candy, a canned desert, and accessories such as a can opener, a hot beverage mix, sugar and salt, plastic spoon, chewing gum, a pack of 4 cigarettes, and several sheets of toilet paper.  Each meal contained approximately 1,200 calories.
